All the Facebook phone rumors were heard Sunday on the Internet. Facebook denies them. With all of the craze over Smartphone’s right now, it would just make good sense to rival Apple’s iPhone and Android phones for Facebook t hat has 500,000 members to support it. The Nexus One was only here for a short time period. Google’s domination didn’t come into play here. Worse things happened for Microsoft with its Kin. Facebook has looked into getting a Facebook phone although it denies building the cell phone. Some analysts say a Facebook phone is destined to flop because it’s not necessary. Many think that Facebook should be working on the little things before getting its own development platform. For instance, numerous think Facebook should work on its apps on all Smartphone’s.
What to expect from a Facebook phone
There was one place the Facebook phone story began. That place was TechCrunch. Like Apple with the iPhone, Facebook is working with a 3rd party manufacturer in secret to build cell phone software, states Michael Arrington. Arrington thinks the reason a developer left the Google Chrome project in June was to work on the phone for Facebook. He thinks numerous may be interested in an affordable phone for Facebook. The cell phone would allow users to call their friends’ names instead of their numbers.
Facebook denies what happened
Facebook getting a cell phone is just one rumor. There have been numerous more hitting the business lately. Facebook says it has no interest in pursuing the production of Smartphone’s. It just wants to integrate with more Smartphone’s. Facebook has its ideas leaked a lot though it just changes them after they’ve been leaked, states CNN. 2008 was the year when MySpace Music was rumored to have a competitor with Facebook Music. This never actually happened though. “Facebook Wallet,” a proprietary e-commerce product to challenge PayPal, never materialized. A service called Facebook Credits can be added to eBay’s PayPal as a partner with Facebook.
Facebook is not the competition
A Facebook phone would not make any good sense to do. This originated from Wired with John C. Abell. ”The tail wagging the dog” is what Abell claims the thought of a Facebook cell phone is. A Facebook cell phone is not something that people would want over their original phones. These people want their Androids and iPhone still. Robert Scobe thinks Facebook really needs to just be working on developing apps. He is from Business Insider. He discusses different deficiencies. These include contacts, photos and video. He also talked about Facebook’s platform. He talked about how the platform needs fixing first. The 500,000 users Facebook has are its only real advantage. The other corporations don’t have that.
